Vector Birds

Having a little fun here while putting to use some of the vector tutorials I've been studying.  Vector drawing means creating images with paths and shapes.
Quite unlike painting in Photoshop with pixel based brushes and even farther
removed from traditional drawing media.  But I love learning new skills and am
really enjoying myself.  The pencil sketches below were made in order to become familiar with the shapes I would be using to create the grouping you see here.
For the top two birds, real photographic references were used.  I love how
animated they look.

This week however, I have been painting with both watercolors and oils again.
So I will be posting a new small format (6" x 6") oil painting this week.
